Source first

Every aggregated item names and links to the original publisher. We use short, original context rather than republishing articles. Automated collection is restricted to an explicit allowlist; inclusion is not endorsement.

UK first, significant stories across borders

Priority goes to UK regulators, national and regional media, broadcasters, consumer associations, Citizens Advice, safety and standards bodies, researchers, specialist practitioners and credible first-hand reporting. International stories are included when they reveal a major risk, enforcement model or marketplace pattern relevant to UK consumers.

Stories, not routine recall duplication

Routine individual product-safety reports, alerts and recall entries are excluded from the news feed. Readers are directed to FOLO-UP or the official source to search records. We cover a recall only when there is a wider public-interest story: scale, repeated failure, enforcement, system breakdown or meaningful new evidence.

Claims and uncertainty

A report, visual match or online-listing signal is not automatically a confirmed safety finding. We distinguish allegation, test result, regulator finding, court outcome and editorial inference. Product identity and the scope of samples are stated where they affect interpretation.

Corrections and responses

Material corrections are added promptly and transparently. Organisations or individuals criticised in original reporting should be represented fairly, including relevant published responses. Contact details will be added before the public launch is promoted.

Relationship with FOLO-UP

Unsafe Products and FOLO-UP share a public-safety purpose. Editorial pages link to FOLO-UP for recall search and reporting actions. That operational relationship is disclosed; source selection and attribution remain explicit.
